Bead Assisted Mass Spectrometry (BAMS): A High-Resolution Immunoassay Platform for Multiplexed Biomarker Screening
Quantitatively probing diverse panels of proteins and their post-translational modifications (PTMs) across multiple samples aids a broad range of biological, biochemical and pharmacological research. Adeptrix has developed Affinity-Bead Assisted Mass Spectrometry (Affi-BAMS), a microarray-based immunoassay that combines immunoaffinity capture with mass spectrometry detection for highly multiplexed, targeted proteomics.
Each Affi-BAMS bead carries a single protein- or site-specific antibody, and multiplexing comes from combining beads of different specificities, so intact proteins and protein fragments can both be monitored. Reagents exist for oncology, neurology, epigenetics, virology and food allergen targets.
